How is initial service completed on a new case filing?
Initial service will still be conducted in the same manner it is currently handled in the paper world, as you file your case you will be prompted to choose a service option for each defendant. The Clerk’s office is notified electronically to complete the service according to your choice. If opposing parties retain counsel, the attorney filing the answer will receive all correspondence digitally, pro se parties will be notified of filings in the same manner they always have been.
